Summer camp for 2nd year consecutively for tribal kids of Bodakho concluded

Friends, it was for the 2nd year in a row, Ahambhumika organised summer camp in village Bodakho,distt.Bhopal.This year the camp commenced from 09.4.13 and ended on 14.04.13.The camp was oragnised in a Primary school of village Bodakho and besides Bodakho the children of the neighbouring villages namely Pilitalai and Dholiumar too joined the camp.During 6 days camp the rural school children were imparted edcuation of Computer,Art and Craft and Origamy.
Ahambhumika was fortunate enough again this time to have 4 committed volunteers.Shri Chandru Malkani from Mumbai and 3 others from Bhopal,who are the students of National Institute of Design, Ahemdabad.These NID students were  in Bhopal due to summer vacation.The name of the NID students who volunteered  during camp was Kokila Bhattacharya,Shubham Singhavi and Shivani Goswami.
On last day of camp we had with us Shri Ashish Bhattacharya, Artist and Architect from Bhopal who taught the rural kids clay modelling and origamy and kept them engaged with fun filled art based activities.
     Like previous year this year too there was the provision of lunch for the children and volunteers due to the support of generous people .We had plenty of colours , drawing copies due to support of the people who contributed for this camp.
The 4 rural women who cooked delicious food during camp were paid wages which was supported by  a generous   person. 
This year there was a  section  imparting the training  of embroidery work for the rural women and girls.And we found the women and girls very enthusiastic.They engrossed in doing embroidery work whole day during camp.The embroidery hoops and threads too was supported by the our supporters.
The children spent whole day learning computer and Art and Craft from enthusiastic volunteers.
Like previous year, this year too McAfee,an Intel company from Mumbai supported us with Tshirts for the children and volunteers.We are obliged to all for the support.
